
Joba Chamberlain allowed only two runs over 8 innings as the New York Yankess beat the Cleveland Indians 5-2 on Monday night. Nick Swisher and Alex Rodriguez drove home two runs each in the 7th inning giving the Yankees a 5-1 lead. The Yankees have gone 18 consecutive games without committing an error, an MLB record.

The Pittsburgh Pirates rallied from a 5-0 deficit to defeat the New York Mets 8-5 on Monday night. Adam LaRoche led off the bottom of the eighth inning with a double and his brother Andy would drive him home with an infield single. Four consecutive hits up the middle after Eric Hinske made an out, out the pirates up 6-5 for a lead they wouldn't relinquish. New York began the game with a team leading 2.95 ERA for its bullpen.
